BUY - Common Sort offers a great selection of hand-picked quality new and used clothing, shoes, belts, purses, hats and other accessories in a clean and well organized environment. Because we buy directly from our customers our prices remain low and our stock is constantly changing. Come in often to see new items we put out daily.
  

SELL - Bring in your former favourites for one of our buyers to go through. We pick out what we like or need and determine Common Sort's retail price of those items. Of that price you can receive 25% in cash or cheque on the spot! You must have valid ID (e.g. driver's license, passport, etc.) for selling and must be at least 18 years of age. 
 

TRADE - Instead of taking cash for your items, you can opt for store credit and receive double the value. We give you 50% of what we would sell your items for in the store. You can use your trade certificate immediately or save it for use within the year - a better value for those bargain hunters! 
 

HOW TO SELL MY ITEMS

Bring in current, gently used brand name items. Items should be clean and in-season. 

Factors our buyers take into consideration for buying are:

• season - we ONLY buy for the current weather season
• style - up to date fashions, trendy pieces, fashion forward, designer and vintage accepted
• condition - items must be only lightly worn, clean and free of stains, rips, and odours
• brand - premium brand names are preferred but not mandatory

Note that we only buy items based on what is needed for the store at that time. No hard feelings if we don't buy all your items; we just don't have the space to buy everything. We still love you for bringing your stuff in.

Some things to pay special attention to:

Jeans - we only buy premium brand jeans, current contemporary cuts & styles, or vintage denim.

Shirts - be sure that there are no stains (pay special attention to collar and arm pits), and the cuffs are not worn

Dresses - we look for good quality fabrics in everything we buy. Natural fabrics are preferred.

Sweaters & Knits - These items should be free of pilling and pulled threads

Shoes - Minor scuffs are OK, but the interior and soles should be in good condition, and the exterior should be free of salt stains and other difficult to fix blemishes.
